Our School

Motueka South School provides high quality education for students from Years 1 to 8 in a well resourced and attractive setting.  

There are high expectations for all students to be successful academically and responsible, caring citizens. Students are confident, interested and active learners within and outside their classrooms. Students lead and contribute to school activities in meaningful ways.

MSS is a SWPB4L (School Wide Positive Behaviour for Learning) environment  which includes our Keys to Success programme. 

Within a warm and caring community of learners, success is celebrated. Students with specific needs are well catered for and supported in an inclusive environment of support and respect . Board, staff, students and whānau show great pride in the school.

Motueka South School is the employing school for:

• the Nelson Bays Resource Teacher: Learning and Behaviour (NBRTLB), servicing Nelson / Tasman and Golden Bay

• the Kahurangi Resource Teacher: Literacy (RT:Lit), servicing Tasman and Golden Bay

• the Learning Support Coordinator (LSC), working across four schools
