On Wednesday 21st October at 11am our class went out to the courts by the junior classes to do some tennis coaching with Ashley. Ashley is a coach from the Motueka and Nelson tennis clubs. She showed me how to hold the tennis racket the proper way. We also played Kings and Queens. How you play is one person stands on one slide of the court, that means they are the queen or king. Then on the other side there are five people. One person is hitting the ball and challenging the other player trying to win the rally. If you get the king or queen out you become the king or queen. I really liked this game because it was challenging. You didn't want to hit the ball too hard otherwise if might go out of court and you'd be out. At the beginning we also had to get our eye in, we did this by bouncing the ball on our rackets as many times as we could. My record was 5 times. I am looking forward to having some more sessions with Ash. Each class is going to have 4 coaching sessions over the term.
